What is Private WordPess post?
In WordPress, Private posts are such posts which are published for the eyes of Admin and Editors of the site only. No other viewers can see such posts. Private posts are visible to Admin and editor only when they are logged into their account.
When you are creating private posts, you need to ensure that you are the only Admin and editor of your blog. If there are other editors or admins, they can always see your posts in the Dashboard. Not only that, they can even edit and publish your posts.
How to create a private WordPress post?
Creating a private WordPress post is all about changing the post visibility level to Private. Here’s how you can do it.
If you are creating a new post, you should be in Add New Post page. Or if you are editing your existing post, you should be in Edit page of your WordPress Dashboard.
In the right sidebar, you can see Publish section. By default visibility is set to ‘Public‘. To change it, click on the Edit link.
You can see three radio buttons. Click on the radio button of Private option.
Click on the ‘OK‘ button.
You will see that visibility changes to Private. Now, click on the Update button to save your changes.
Congratulation! Your post is now published privately.
